HTC Hires Iron Man to Help with its Ad Campaigns

Although they have not yet won the rights to use Iron Man as their spokesman, they have hired the next best thing, Robert Downey Jr., who is best known as Iron Man, will be highlighting HTC’s new campaign for its Signature One X Series.

The whole idea behind the campaign will be Downey making fun of the company’s name, trying to figure out what HTC (High Tech Company) actually means. With the recent upset by companies like Samsung over the once dominant Android maker, I doubt they will be using the “Has To Change” moniker everyone wants them to.

In the first video released is just a teaser, but the continuing ones use funny reverse acronyms like “Hold This Cat” or “Humongous Tinfoil Catamaran” to amuse buyers. At the end of the day though, HTC is losing the smartphone war badly and needs Iron Man’s help with what it really needs to do — sell a lot more phones.
