Man Who Found Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev In His Boat Speaks Out (VIDEO)

In an exclusive interview with Boston TV station, WCVB, David Henneberry talked with NewsCenter 5′s Ed Harding about the dramatic discovery and emotional reflection.

In the interview an emotional Henneberry says, “I hate to use clichés.  If people who were killed can get some (comfort), then I am at peace with it,” after reflecting on the consequence of his discovery and the tragedy that slowed the world.

Referring to the boat as, “my baby,” Henneberry went to check on it after Watertown had been lifted from lockdown status while law enforcement was attempting to find the 19 year old, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, known as “white hat” or “Suspect 2.” Getting outside for air in the early evening, the proud boat owner went to put pads back in the correct positions after they had appeared to have fallen.

Then the discovery. It’s really a compelling watch.

Henneberry spends part the the interview correcting much of the known story which already has become something of folklore.

It’s certainly worth 8 minutes of your time.

David Henneberry, hero.
