It is always fun to see people step outside of the box. That is why most of Britain’s TV viewers tuned into a new sitcom called Vicious last night.
Considered by many to be among the elite of British stars of stage and screen, Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi are trying their hand at a new comedy from the executive producer of Family Guy and Will and Grace, Gary Janetti.
In Vicious, McKellen and Jacobi play a couple who have lived together for nearly 50 years and whose favorite pastime includes arguing with each other.
Basically, it’s an elderly gay British adaptation of The Odd Couple.
Vicious won the night in the British television market on its debut. While there is no outlet in the United States yet, viewers can watch McKellen and Jacobi yuk it up for laughs here, or watch a clip below:
