What If All We Know About Dinosaurs is Wrong?

We have all seen movies like Jurassic Park, Land of the Lost and other movies starring dinosaurs. But what if almost all we know of dinosaurs is wrong?

Brian Switek has written a book about many of the misconceptions about dinosaurs. Such as, are dinosaurs really extinct? Did dinosaurs always rule the Earth? Was T Rex a scavenger or a hunter?

When it comes to dinosaurs and other prehistoric monsters, even the experts can get things wrong — as dino-fanatic Brian Switek explains in his tour guide to the paleontological frontier.

The righting of wrongness begins with the title of Switek’s book: “My Beloved Brontosaurus: On the Road With Old Bones, New Science and Our Favorite Dinosaurs.” As most 9-year-olds could probably tell you, there’s officially no such thing as a Brontosaurus. That name for the quintessential long-tailed, long-necked sauropod went out of fashion when scientists figured out that the Jurassic giant had already been dubbed Apatosaurus. — MSNBC Cosmic Log

Here is a small excerpt of his audio book:

With more advanced technology, scientists will get a better understanding of the lives and disappearance of dinosaurs. Many myths and legends have come from the findings of dinosaur bones, and many misconceptions about dinosaurs have also been made over the years.

We may never know all of the story of the dinosaurs, but through technology we can get a better understanding of them.

Just a thought about what we don't know about dinosaurs.

Taking a look at a male and female Brontosaurus, just how could they have mated??
