The Huffington Post has an excellent column written by Shane L. Windmeyer, founder and executive of Campus Pride, a national organization for LGBT college students. Campus Pride is mostly responsible for the boycott of Chick-Fil-A that has become a political football for both pro- and anti-gay communities.

Windmeyer writes that he has been speaking and meeting privately with Dan Cathy, president and COO of Chick-Fil-A, for months and has not only come to respect Cathy, but has developed a close friendship with him and his family.

Campus Pride has now suspended it’s “5 Simple Facts About Chick-Fil-A National College Campaign” which attempted to set up boycotts nation-wide on college campuses.
