Fox News radio host, Geraldo Rivera announced yesterday “I’ve been in touch with some people in the Republican Party in New Jersey. I am truly contemplating running.”

Senator Lautenberg (D-New Jersey) up for re-election in 2014, already has a potential primary opponent in Newark Mayor Cory Booker.

Rivera confirmed he would be running as Republican, should he decide to move forward.

With one New Jersey Senator already embroiled in controversy, and a gubernatorial election this year, it appears New Jersey will be a state to watch for the next two years.
