Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) took to Facebook to mock MSNBC over their feigned outrage for learning that radical Marxists reside at Harvard University.  Marxists at universities? Color us shocked!

Cruz’s clever jab at MSNBC is a response to a New Yorker article they profiled titled, “Is Senator Ted Cruz Our New Joe McCarthy?” The piece accuses Cruz of “McCarthyite” tendencies and for boasting a “prosecutorial style of questioning” with respect to his grilling of Secretary of Defense nominee Chuck Hagel during confirmation hearings.

The article further expounds on Cruz’s “crazy” remarks:

He then went on to assert that Obama, who attended Harvard Law School four years ahead of him, “would have made a perfect president of Harvard Law School.” The reason, said Cruz, was that, “There were fewer declared Republicans in the faculty when we were there than Communists! There was one Republican. But there were twelve who would say they were Marxists who believed in the Communists overthrowing the United States government.”

Kudos to Senator Cruz for using pop culture to hit back at the media.
