Dr. Hannah Gay at the University of Mississippi Medical Center unveiled a remarkable medical achievement Sunday.  Using a relatively inexpensive cocktail of medicines, she has cured a child of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

While this isn’t a silver bullet, it’s a huge step forward in medical research and patient care.
