Bye Bye Behar

After 16 and a half years playing the foil to the right on The View, the liberal lioness, Joy Behar, has decided to call it quits.

“It seemed like the right time,” she said. “You reach a point when you say to yourself, ‘Do I want to keep doing this’?”

As far as what’s next, Behar stated that she had a “positive meeting” with new CNN head, Jeff Zucker, but insists nothing is set in stone yet. “There are other things on my plate I want to do — I’ve been writing a play; I’ve been neglecting my standup.”

Now that Al Gore’s Current TV (on which Behar had a failed talk show) has been sold to Al Jazeera, perhaps Ms. Behar will find new employment.  Undoubtedly, her feminism will go over like gangbusters with the new bosses.

Here’s a clip of some of Ms. Behar’s fine work on The View
