A 29-year-old woman described by her father as “daddy’s little girl” was killed Monday in the bombings that struck the Boston Marathon. Krystle Campbell, 29, of Medford, Mass., worked as a restaurant manager in Arlington and was described on a Facebook tribute page: “She was beautiful, she was loud, and everyone loved her for it.”
Campbell had “head to toe freckles and gorgeous bright red hair” and “was seldom caught not smiling,” friends recalled. The Associated Press reported:
Her father says Krystle Campbell, of Medford, Mass., had gone with her best friend to take a picture of the friend’s boyfriend crossing the finish line on Monday afternoon.
William Campbell says his daughter, who worked at a restaurant in nearby Arlington, was “very caring, very loving person, and was daddy’s little girl.” He says the loss has devastated the family.
He says the friend was seriously injured in the explosion.
Eight-year-old Martin Richard of Dorchester was the first victim killed by the bombing to be identified. More than 170 were reportedly injured by Monday’s attack.
