New CBS Show with Robin Williams: The Crazy Ones (VIDEO)

Theres a simple formula in comedy. Robin Williams + anything = hilarious.

Robin Williams - is there anything he does that isn’t funny?

But when that “anything” includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, James Wolk, Kelly Clarkson and - according to actor Hamish Linklater - the funniest dolly grip ever, the entire formula begins to go nuclear.

CBS’s new show, The Crazy Ones, stars Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar as a father-daughter team of advertising executives in Chicago.  James Wolk rounds out the lead actors playing an ad agent (a stretch I’m sure after years on Mad Men).  CBS’s behind the scenes preview video gives a little taste of what’s to come on the new series.

This will be Williams’ first leading-man role in episodic TV since Mork and Mindy.

Pam Dawber and Robin Williams in Mork and Mindy, circa 1978.

Thanks for posting that preview, Amile. The Crazy Ones looks like a great show, and I can't wait to see Robin Williams return to TV. I even sent a link to this promo around my office at DISH so my coworkers could see what I'm laughing at. I can't wait for the premier; I know I won't miss it thanks to my DISH Hopper DVR. It's set to record everything CBS airs during primetime, so I know The Crazy Ones will get recorded no matter what day it airs.

Firstly, what a pathetic, thinly veiled plug for the Dish's Hopper. Secondly, The Crazy Ones is going to be a huge failure...Robin Williams is obnoxious, manic and bordering on desperate. I'll give it 4-6 episodes, o renewal.
