Amanda Bynes Teetering on the Edge?

Celebrities do whatever it takes to keep themselves relevant and in the headlines.  Some do it with grace and style, others with recklessness and debauchery.  The recent antics of Amanda Bynes fall into the undesired category of ridiculousness. Once America’s little sweetheart who starred in a slew of teen movies such as What A Girl Wants, Hairspray, and Easy A, and even made a name for herself starring in her own TV show in The WB “What I Like About You” has gotten more attention as of late because of her troubles off the screen.

Oh Amanda Bynes, what happened?

Wikipedia documents some of her recent behavior: ”On May 23, 2013, police went to Bynes’ apartment on West 47th Street in Manhattan after they got a call from the doorman about someone smoking marijuana in the lobby. After a short investigation, she was arrested for reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and criminal possession of marijuana. She allegedly threw a bong out of her 36th floor window. Bynes was taken to Roosevelt Hospital for mental evaluation.”

This is only the latest of her troubles with the law, the first going back to March of 2012 when she was arrested for driving under the influence only to be charged later on with driving with a suspended license and two charges of hit-and-run. The common theme in all of these occurances have been her proclamation of innocence and that people are just simply out to get her. All of her troubles began after she announced in 2010 via Twitter that she was retiring from acting, stating “I don’t love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it.”

As the saga continues, according to TMZ her erratic behavior continues on Twitter. This time she’s started war with superstar Rihanna.

Maybe she should stop acting out in the real world and again start acting more in the TV and movie world?
