Al Qaeda Terrorist Claims Chris Stevens Killed by Lethal Injection

A weapons expert for the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda says Chris Stevens, the late U.S. ambassador to Libya, was killed by lethal injection after plans to kidnap him for a planned prisoner exchange went bad. That bombshell, made in an online posting on an al Qaeda-linked website, was reported by Washington Free Beacon senior editor Bill Gertz:

The veracity of the claim made by Abdallah Dhu-al-Bajadin, who was identified by U.S. officials as a known weapons experts for al Qaeda, could not be determined. However, U.S. officials have not dismissed the terrorist’s assertion.
An FBI spokeswoman indicated the bureau was aware of the claim but declined to comment because of the bureau’s ongoing investigation into the Benghazi attack.
A State Department spokesman also had no comment.

While the fact that neither of the two government agencies have dismissed the claim out of hand does not necessarily lend it credence, it also keeps the assertion from being relegated to the Pure Conspiracy Theory folder. And despite former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s protestation to the contrary, how Stevens and three other Americans died does make a difference.
