Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o has inspired many people this year with his his rousing speeches and legendary play on the football field.  Yesterday, he gave us another kind of inspiration, which has landed on social media faster than Alabama’s running backs ran by his tackles in the BCS. It’s called “Te’oing” and like its predecessors, “Tebowing” and “Griffining,” it’s often snarky and hilarious.

Here’s what you do.  Pose with your non-existent girlfriend or boyfriend and take a photo.  Or you can take a picture of her alone, a la invisible Obama. Include a caption, preferably telling the world how beautiful she is and how much she means to you.
