Rules are rules, and the rules in the NBA say you can’t make a slashing motion across your throat. Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant was handed a $25,000 fine as a reminder last night after slamming home a monster dunk in the Thunder’s win against the Warriors, 116-97.
First came the slash, immediately followed by a second gesture of clasping his hands in prayer. Afterwards, Durant explained himself by saying, “Kill `em and pray for `em after the game.”
