Bryan Singer, director of the guarenteed-hit ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ announced today on Twitter the American Horror Story alum Evan Peters is joining the cast of the upcoming superhero flick as Quicksilver, a mutant with the ability to move with super-speed.
Thrilled to say #EvanPeters is joining #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast as #Quicksilver.

Oh yeah, and he happens to be the son of Magneto, the supervillian played by Sir Ian McKellen in the original trilogy and by Michael Fassbender in the more recent reboot.
This announcement raises questions about the time-twisting plot. In the comics, Quicksilver has a sister, Scarlet Witch, with the power to manipulate probability. Will these siblings take advantage of the combined timelines to meet their father?
