Ironies - it seems like Hollywood is the best at them. Look at Justin Bieber, for example: he’s always preaching about being nice to everyone, but then he zips down his street, possibly stoned, in his Ferrari at “breakneck speeds.”

But here’s a slightly-less-depressing one: Jason Bateman’s sister, 47-year-old Justine Bateman (known for her role in the 80′s sitcom “Family Ties), has just completed her first year at UCLA - a school that’s definitely not for dummies. Her major?

Computer programming.

According to ABC News:

Bateman even has a Tumblr called College Life, cataloging her life as a middle-aged student and mother.   Her posts range from “Pet Peeves: People talking in class. Dull pencils” to details of her late-night study sessions.  However, academia has not been too easy for Bateman.  She opened up in her blog about her rejected application to switch majors to Computer Science and the difficulty of juggling school and motherhood.

You know her student status is legitimate because she’s got a Tumblr.

Meanwhile, brother Jason is in a limbo period, while he waits to see if the sensational hit TV show “Arrested Development” - which he stars in - is going to get renewed. Looks like life is going rather well for the Bateman family, though.

Now if only someone would take away Bieber’s Ferrari.
