‘The Great Gatsby’ Soundtrack Revealed

The soundtrack list for The Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, and Joel Edgerton, was released today. And, ladies and gents, when you’ve got Jay-Z as the producer of a soundtrack, you know that it’s bound to be fantastic.

Jay-Z and Gatsby director, Baz Luhrmann, have been working on the project for two years, ‘translating the Jazz Age sensibility of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel into the musical equivalents of our own times, through the blending of hip-hop, traditional jazz and other contemporary musical textures.’” (via Consequence of Sound)

The soundtrack track list is released soon after the trailer that teased bits of songs from Beyoncé/André 3000, Lana Del Rey and Florence and the Machine.
