Who says you have to be a musician to write an amazing love song?
Fred Stobaugh of Peoria, Illinois, entered a song writing contest at Green Shoes Studios and won.
Fred is 97 years young and wrote the lyrics for his beloved Lorraine who passed away at 91 last April. They were married for 73 years.
Sometimes the greatest love songs aren’t written by famous people, they are written by those who lived it, literally.
This isn’t just a love song, it’s a love letter that speaks of love, loss and everything in between.
So have a listen and I dare you to not feel a little something in your heart when you hear “Sweet Lorraine.”

My son sent me the link last night but I couldn't get it that well. Thanks for posting this. I had no trouble with it. I'm teary- eyed.
You're most welcome Rosalie.
