Hey remember when the Knicks thought it’d be an awesome idea to wear all black to game 5 against Boston, symbolically declaring the Celtics‘ funeral had arrived? Hey remember how premature that turned out to be and how foolish the Knicks looked in light of it? Yeah, we remember it too. But somebody forgot to get J.R. Smith cc’d on the memo to stop treating the NBA Playoffs like a charity tourney in Vegas during Spring Break.

TerezOwens.com posted a photo of Smith getting all snuggly with an unidentified (and very, very shiny) companion in front of a big bucket of booze at Jay Z’s 40/40 Club where he was reportedly viewing the Mayweather/Guerrero fight.

Hopefully the Superstar Sixth Man hurried right home after the fight, hydrated, took two aspirin and got a good night’s sleep; The Knicks Face the Indiana Pacers this afternoon in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semis.
