English Defence League Planning Multiple Protests for Saturday

EDL

The English Defence League (EDL) is planning multiple “silent walk” protests on Saturday, June 1 to protest the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby by Islamic extremists. The protests are slated to take place in multiple locations across the United Kingdom, including Nottingham, Newcastle and Manchester.

EDL, a nationalistic protest movement that has been criticized as fascistic, has carried out multiple protests since Rigby’s murder. On May 27, an estimated 1,000 protestors comprised of the group and its supporters marched in London, chanting “Muslim killers off our streets.” Tommy Robinson, leader of the EDL, told the crowd, “They’ve had their Arab Spring. This is time for the English Spring.”

The protestors were met by a smaller group of counter-protestors with a banner reading “EDL Racists.” Both sides were mostly nonviolent, but there were some bottles thrown between them before police broke the groups up.

At least the EDL understands what the problem is. I agree with them.

My question why do EDL supporters target all Pakistani, Indian looking people no matter if they are or not Muslim? Because they are racist.
