With its hour-long season finale Wednesday, “Duck Dynasty”, the A&E reality show in its third season which follows the life of the duck-call-crafting Robinson family, drew a record 9.6 million viewers. But the more important stat’s who was watching: 5.5 million adults 18-49. This is a coup for the show, since it was the first time it topped Fox’s “American Idol” in that key tv demographic.
The Hollywood Reporter says that “Duck Dynasty”‘s 4.3 rating with adults 18-49 rating beat Idol by 34 percent (3.2).
On cable, the show only trails AMC’s epic series “The Walking Dead” in viewership.
That’s nothing to quack at.
